WooCommerce stores built to load fast and actually sell.

A product catalogue structured so people can find things, a cart and checkout tuned for speed on mobile, payment and shipping wired and tested, and abandoned-cart recovery running from day one. Built on WooCommerce, so you own the store, the data and the roadmap.

What you get with a WooCommerce build

What is a WooCommerce website?

WooCommerce is the open-source store platform for WordPress. It runs the catalogue, cart, checkout, payments, tax and shipping, and unlike a hosted platform you are not paying a percentage of every sale or locked out of your own data. It scales from a handful of products to thousands.

What is included when I build your store?

You get a product catalogue with sensible categories, attributes, variations and filtering; product and shop templates that make a simple or a variable product look right; and a cart and checkout tuned for speed and minimal steps. Payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, others), shipping zones and tax rules are set up and tested with real transactions. Abandoned-cart recovery emails are configured, and the order, stock and customer notification emails are styled and working. On top of that comes the speed work that keeps checkout fast as the catalogue and traffic grow.

Who it is best for

Businesses selling physical or digital products that want to own their platform, shops outgrowing a hosted plan's fees or limits, and anyone who needs custom logic (bundles, subscriptions, wholesale pricing, bookings) that a closed platform will not do. If you sell a service rather than a product, the Local or Small Business pages fit better.

Checkout that stays fast under load

A store has more moving parts than a brochure site: dynamic pages, a cart that cannot be fully cached, real-time stock. I build with caching that respects the cart, optimise product images, defer non-critical scripts, and keep the checkout path lean. The target is 90+ on PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals that pass when traffic spikes.

Straight talk: store pages are harder to score than static pages because the cart and account areas cannot be cached. Product and category pages come back green to high in the "good" band on desktop; mobile often sits in the 80s, with load and layout stability green. A fast host and a CDN matter more here than on a small site. The screenshots are a real example from a non-store build, shown for reference.

Questions

WooCommerce, answered.

How long does a WooCommerce store take?

Most run five to eight weeks: a week or two for catalogue structure and design, three to five weeks for the build, payments and shipping setup, then testing with real orders. Large catalogues and custom logic add time.

WooCommerce or Shopify?

Shopify is faster to start and fully managed, but you pay monthly plus per-sale fees and you work within its limits. WooCommerce is yours: no per-sale cut, full control of data and checkout, and any custom logic is possible. For stores that need bundles, wholesale, subscriptions or heavy customisation, WooCommerce wins. I build WooCommerce.

Can you migrate my existing store?

Yes. I move products, categories, customers and orders, map old URLs to new ones with 301 redirects, and keep your SEO. Migrations from Shopify, Wix, Magento and older WooCommerce sites are all doable.

Which payment gateways can you set up?

Stripe and PayPal are the usual pair. I also set up Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe, and regional gateways as needed. All tested with real transactions before launch.

Does it handle abandoned carts?

Yes. Abandoned-cart recovery emails are set up as part of the build, with a short sequence you can edit later. It is one of the highest-return things a store can do.

Do you provide support after launch?

Yes, either ad hoc or on a monthly retainer. Stores benefit most from a retainer, since payments, shipping and plugin updates need watching.

Cost

What it costs.

$18 / hour

A WooCommerce store typically runs about $600–$2,500, depending on catalogue size and custom logic. Fixed-price or hourly, both work through Upwork with escrow.

What moves the number

  • Catalogue size and how many product types
  • Custom logic: bundles, subscriptions, wholesale, bookings
  • Payment, shipping and tax complexity
  • Migration from an existing store
  • Whether design is provided or created from scratch
